Katie saw a pin of a master bedroom that she loved. So, we are now in the process of doing our best to copy it in our own master. The main piece is a yellow dresser. We just finished it a few days ago and are really happy with how it turned out. It's not perfect and it was our first time using antiquing glaze but we are happy with it. Enjoy and share!
Before and Afters:
It took a lot of sanding to get that finish off the top of the dresser.
Of course our helpers always want their picture taken as well!
It looks so GREAT! Where do you guys look for your dressers? Goodwill??
ReplyDeleteHeather, do far we have found them all on Craigslist, usually within just a few minutes of the house.
DeleteThis is the second piece of furniture I've seen that you guys refinished, and I'm really impressed! I'm really curious, though, about what works with the yellow dresser.....could I just get a hint??? Also, don't know if you'd find it interesting, but I've been having a lot of fun lately with "GraphicsFairy", particularly their furniture projects. (NOT like you need any help, however!)
ReplyDeleteThanks Connie! We are really having lots of fun working on these projects together. As for what the rest of the room will look like...the walls are two different shades of grey, there will be white side tables and white curtains with grey stripes. We will ad some lamps and things to hopefully bring it all together.
DeleteYellow dresser for master bedroom is shown here. Have a look at it
